Jade Educational Trading CC (“Jade Education”) is registered in South Africa and these website Terms and Conditions, as amended from time to time, will be exclusively governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
By accessing and using Jade Education’s website, you agree to the terms and conditions below. Should you not agree with these terms and conditions, please do not use this website.
You agree that all transactions or activities that occur under your name or on your behalf on this website will be deemed to have been authorised by you.
Jade Education reserves the right to update the website without notification. Should there be any changes or amendments, you will be deemed to have agreed with such new terms and conditions by any subsequent use of this website. It is therefore your responsibility to check to changes regularly.
This website and its contents may not be copied, reproduced or republished. False or fraudulent use of the website and its contents is not permitted.
Although we aim to provide consistency with the products displayed on our website, these images are for illustrative and information purposes only. The actual product may vary from images depicted, especially with regards to colour and dimensions.
All items on this website are priced in South African Rand. All prices include VAT. Prices are directly linked to exchange rates and are subject to change without notice.
Promotions, pricing or specials listed on the website are applicable only for purchases made via the website.
Should a product inadvertently be listed at the incorrect price, Jade Education reserves the right to cancel, refuse or revise any order based on the incorrect price.
Jade Education reserves the right to accept or decline your order for any reason.
Payment may be made by Visa, MasterCard credit cards of debit cards or by bank transfer into Jade Education’s account, details of which will be provided after checkout. Full payment is required to process your order.
Credit card transactions will be acquired via MyGate who are an approved payment gateway for Standard Bank of South Africa. MyGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL#) and no credit card details are stored on the Jade Education website. Customers will be stored by Jade Education separately from card details which are entered by you on MyGate’s secure site. For more detail on MyGate please see www.mygate.co.za.
If you choose to pay via EFT, payment proof must be sent via fax to 088 011 264 2425 or via email to email@example.com within seven days of the issue date of the pro forma invoice. Should payment not be received within seven days, your order will be cancelled and a new quote will need to be requested.
Stock availability will be confirmed after payment as stock is allocated on a first-paid-first served basis. Should certain stock items not be available, Jade Education will contact you to make alternative arrangements. These arrangements include selecting alternative stock or waiting for the required stock to fill the order. Should we not be able to make alternative arrangements, you will be credited with the value of the outstanding stock.
Cancelled orders on the e-commerce facility will be refunded after a 10% charge for administration costs.
Delivery from our premises to you will be completed by courier and you can choose the various courier options list on the website. Courier costs are based on dimensions and weight of your order as well as the location of delivery. Delivery charges will be indicated on your quotation or pro forma invoice. Once payment has been received, Jade Education will arrange with the selected courier provider to deliver individual orders. Jade Education reserves the right to change the courier chosen by the customer in circumstances that it deems appropriate or necessary. A delivery address and telephone contact number must be provided in order for delivery to take place.
Delivery times are an indication only and cannot be guaranteed as these services are outsourced to the various courier companies.
Should the delivery address provided by you be incorrect, Jade Education will not be held liable for any losses or additional charges incurred.
In circumstances where couriers do not deliver to a particular, please contact Jade Education to make see if we are able to assist with other arrangements.
For security reasons, we do not allow for any collections.
Jade Education imports most of its material and therefore, out of stock orders may take between 6 and 8 weeks to arrive and pass through customs. We cannot be held not responsible for delays due to shipping or customs processes.
Please note that we do not ship to addresses outside of South Africa.
Jade Education will accept return of goods within 14 days of receipt – provided that the goods are returned in an unused condition in their original packaging. Proof of purchase must accompany all returns. Books that show any signs of use will not be accepted for returns. There will be no returns nor refunds on any custom orders, custom packs or school packs. Refunds will only be made by the original payment method, and in the case of credit or debit cards, only back to the original card. Refunds will not include shipping and handling charges. The costs of returning goods to us shall be borne by you.
Jade Education will accept returns for faulty, damaged or defective goods, provided that the return is requested within 7 days of delivery. Return requests must be made in writing (via fax to 088 011 264 2425 or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org). Please attach a photo if possible. Should your order arrive with obvious shipping damage, please report this within 24 hours of receipt. We do not accept returns on sale items or custom orders, custom packs or school packs.
Due to the import nature of the business, we cannot guarantee that replacements can be made (stock dependent). Where we are unable to provide a replacement, you can either select a refund for the value of the item, or a credit to be placed on your account equivalent to the value of the returned item.
Please note that under no circumstances can purchases of e-books be refunded.
ON SALE ITEMS
All sales are final! We do not accept ANY returns nor do we do we do any exchanges for books sold on sale. Our standard returns policy does not apply to any discounted or sale items. If you are unable to select a book that is listed on sale, it means that it has been sold out. There will be no substitution for sold out items. Please note that we will only charge you for items eventually shipped.
Jade Education will never disclose your personal information to any third party.
Your privacy is important to Jade Education and we will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully. For the purpose of this clause “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA).
Customer details will be stored by Jade Education separately from card details which are entered by the client on MyGate’s secure site. For more detail on MyGate please see www.mygate.co.za.
